My Approach

I hold a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, which means we can work creatively and flexibly, tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and identities. My practice is grounded in evidence-based models — Psychodynamic and Systemic therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and third-wave approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

I have experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with low mood, anxiety in its various forms, stress, trauma, anger, relational difficulties, low self-esteem or confidence, and the emotional impact of living with long-term health conditions.

At the heart of my work is cultural awareness: holding space for your identities, your experiences, and the contexts that have shaped your story. I draw on these approaches while always keeping the therapeutic relationship at the centre. Together, we might explore past experiences and relational patterns, discover new ways of coping, reconnect with parts of yourself that feel out of reach, or nurture a more compassionate inner voice. Over time, we'll work towards a sense of peace, growth, and renewed self-awareness.

Through my NHS work, I support people living with chronic pain and long-term conditions. These challenges reach far beyond the body, often reshaping thoughts, emotions, and everyday life. Many people I see feel "stuck," no longer able to do the things that truly matter to them. I help with acceptance, reconnecting with values, developing mindfulness skills, easing the impact pain can have on relationships, and building a personal toolkit for overwhelming moments.

My practice is grounded in a relational approach — one that honours your lived experiences and the qualities that make you who you are, shaping therapy around your values and what matters most to you. I believe healing happens through connection: being truly seen, heard, and met with compassion. At its best, therapy becomes a space for insight, growth, and lasting change.

My Story

My own story spans places and cultures — growing up in the Middle East, building a life in the UK, and carrying a South Asian heritage that runs through it all. Living between worlds, I've experienced the complexities of identity, belonging, and cross-cultural adjustment first-hand, and these experiences deeply inform how I work. They allow me to understand the nuanced challenges many people face around cultural identity, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. I hold a systemic lens throughout my practice, staying mindful of the social and cultural differences, values, and perspectives that shape who we are.

A profound curiosity about the human experience drove my journey into psychology.  As a trained dancer, I have long been fascinated by mind-body integration, exploring how our emotions, thoughts, and physical selves are deeply connected. This curiosity even shaped my thesis research, where I created a new language around disordered eating by bringing my findings to life through dance.

This fusion inspired me to bring creativity, embodiment, and a holistic approach into my therapeutic practice. Central to my work is the belief that healing is not solely a cognitive process but one that encompasses the whole person. My goal is to create a space that feels holistic, culturally aware, and a little bit like a safe harbour for your thoughts and feelings. Whether life feels wobbly, overwhelming, or just confusing, I’m here to walk alongside you.
