My approach

I hold a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, which means we can work creatively and flexibly, tailoring therapy to suit your unique experiences and identities. My approach is rooted in evidence-based models such as Psychodynamic and Systemic therapies, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and third-wave approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

A key part of my approach is cultural awareness, holding space for your identities, experiences and the contexts that have shaped your story. I blend evidence-based approaches while keeping the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work. This can involve exploring past experiences and relational patterns, or discovering new ways of coping, reconnecting with yourself, and nurturing a more compassionate inner voice. Together, we’ll cultivate a sense of peace, growth, and renewed self-awareness.

My Story

As a third-culture kid of South Asian background, I have personally experienced the complexities of identity, belonging, and cross-cultural adjustment. These experiences have deeply informed my approach to therapy, allowing me to understand the nuanced challenges many clients face concerning cultural identity, emotional health, and personal growth.
My journey into psychology was driven by a profound curiosity about the human experience.  As a trained dancer, I have long been fascinated by mind-body integration, exploring how our emotions, thoughts, and physical selves are deeply connected. This curiosity even shaped my thesis research, where I created a new language around disordered eating by bringing my findings to life through dance.

This fusion inspired me to bring creativity, embodiment, and a holistic approach into my therapeutic practice. This perspective led me to my current role in NHS Pain Management, where I support clients in understanding the interplay between physical and emotional well-being. Central to my work is the belief that healing is not solely a cognitive process but one that encompasses the whole person. My goal is to create a space that feels holistic, culturally aware, and a little bit like a safe harbour for your thoughts and feelings. Whether life feels wobbly, overwhelming, or just confusing, I’m here to walk alongside you.
